In the following link on page 7 you will find a short account (in French) written by a former French prisoner of war who worked in Paschkerwitz for farmer Hermann Weiss between 1940 and 1942. He described his flight with the locals of a neighbouring village, from the advancing Russian Army. In addition, he mentioned the bitter cold which we also endured just a few kilometers away.
To this account he added a picture postcard of Paschkerwitz and other fotos.
